New Website Front Page

Here's the first draft of the new front page to our site:

http://raptorphoto.sundala.com/NewSiteSandbox/

Some questions about it:

1. Is it too big? I'm curious how it looks on smaller resolution screens
2. Is it clear? If you clicked on a link to take you here would it be too confusing what you need to do?
3. Is it attractive?

Any help is help. We want this to be gooooood.

It was hard for me to read the words in the boxes when i scrolled over. Not much, but kind of a mental delay where I had to squint for a second and wait. And the one that says "US" I had to study for a while to make sure I wasn't missing any letters after the S.

I think that the fading is maybe to gradual - the reason I say this is that the haziness caused by the gradual fade affects the images a little too much. I'd be worried that that would influence people's perception of the quality of the photos. This was more noticeable after I scrolled over them, and the background actually became clearer as the foreground became the letters. On my browser it fit well - contained within the single page in lenght and width. I love the choice of pictures, and that they are all at eye level to each other. My only other thought is that there is no title, and usually if you are wanting some sort of name recognition, the more times that name is seen by the viewier the better. I love how clean graphic it looks. A GREAT first draft!

I think it's very atractive. I viewed on my laptop and there was a small portion of the pictures that didn't fit vertically--so I scrolled down maybe 5% (in the compeltely faded area).

The links were easy to figure out. My only suggestions would be a title and the words over the pictures were not distinct enough (as mentioned).

I would also add a copyright notice.

Very, very nice. You have really good design skills--I had no idea.
